BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – Phoenix has found his forever home, according to a Buffalo Animal Shelter Facebook message on Tuesday. The shelter says Phoenix, who was badly burned in October, will be staying with his foster mom Judi.

The shelter says Judi has provided around the clock care for Phoenix for seven months. In the message posted to Facebook, the shelter says Phoenix is attached to Judi and his best friend Ruckus.

Phoenix is keeping busy these days, as he is in Albany Tuesday to celebrate New York State Animal Advocacy Day. He will become a therapy dog and continue to work as an ambassador for the shelter.
