ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (WIVB) – Bills defensive tackle Marcell Dareus will make his first Pro Bowl appearance this weekend, subbing for injured 49ers defensive end Justin Smith.

Dareus joins Mario Williams, Kyle Williams, and Jairus Byrd on the list – giving the Bills four Pro Bowl selections for the first time since 2004.

The former top-five draft pick enjoyed a breakout year in 2013, finishing with 71 tackles and 7.5 sacks.

Despite those numbers, the season did not end well for Dareus. He was benched for parts of the last two games for breaking team rules.

This year’s Pro Bowl is set for this Sunday. In a new format, Deion Sanders and Jerry Rice will draft the two teams. The Pro Bowl draft is set for Wednesday.
