Counterfeit goods found in Buffalo store

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – A raid at a store in the city’s Fruit Belt neighborhood uncovered more than $100,000 worth of counterfeit trademark clothing.

Photos provided by Buffalo Police show the hats, sneakers, jackets, belts and other apparel that were seized Monday night at a warehouse behind Citywide Food Market at the corner of Virginia and Maple Streets. A 9 mm handgun and $25,000 in cash were also confiscated.

The store owner, 36-year-old Ali Mussa of Buffalo, is charged with first-degree trademark counterfeiting, criminal possession of a weapon, criminal possession of stolen property and criminal possession of a controlled substance. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
