Crews avoid live wires during rescue

LOCKPORT, N.Y. (WIVB) – At least one person is recovering from a crash in the Town of Lockport. Stephen Wallace sent in the included photos. He tells News 4 the car went off Robinson Road, slid over 300 feet and then hit the driver side into power pole Sunday afternoon.

The photos show first responders working to free the driver, even though there were live wires and a transformer just above them. Crews used the jaws of life and cutters to pull the car away from the driver.
