EDEN, N.Y. (WIVB) – An Eden man is facing a number of charges after his vehicle ended up stuck in the lawn of an Eckhardt Road home. Eden Police say 53-year-old David A. Bemish was under the influence of drugs while he was behind the wheel.

Police say they received a call of a vehicle operating erratically, before ended up stuck on a law. Police say they also saw damage to residential property on Nelson Drive.

Police say Bemish resisted arrest, and was subdued before being taken into custody. Bemish refused a blood and urine test. Police say he is facing several charges, among them leaving the scene of two incidents and operating without insurance.

Police say he was arrest four times in the past year for operating a vehicle while ability impaired by drugs.
