IRVING, N.Y. (WIVB) – More help is on the way for a southern tier hospital that is struggling to stay open.

The Federal Emergency Management Agency has approved $5 million in disaster funding for Lake Shore Hospital in Irving. Congressman Tom Reed says the money will make the hospital more attractive for potential investors and buyers.

Currently, developer Tony Borrello hopes to buy the hospital and keep it open.
