Former HSBC Tower heading to foreclosure

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – It appears the tallest building in Buffalo is heading into foreclosure.

Both Business First and the Buffalo News are reporting that foreclosure proceedings have begun against the downstate owners of One Seneca Tower. The 38-story building is now more than 95 percent vacant.

Its largest tenant, HSBC Bank, finished moving out of the tower late last year. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
