Last chance to weigh in on documents

ATTICA, N.Y. (WIVB) – Friday is the last day you can weigh in on the State Attorney General’s proposal to unseal long-classified documents about the Attica Prison Riot.

In October, Eric Schneiderman asked a Wyoming County judge to release documents on the 1971 uprising. A State Supreme Court Judge in Buffalo is now considering the request. As part of that, he is accepting written submissions from the public.

If you want to submit something, you can mail them to:

Patrick H. NeMoyer, Supreme Court Justice
Buffalo City Court Building
50 Delaware Avenue, Part 34
Buffalo, NY 14202

Copies of submissions must also be mailed to Michael J. Russo, assistant attorney general in charge of the attorney general’s Buffalo office.

Office of the New York State Attorney General
Buffalo Regional Office
350 Main Street Suite 300A
Buffalo, NY 14202
