Police: woman tried to rob store clerk

JAMESTOWN, N.Y. (WIVB) – A Jamestown woman was arrested Thursday for allegedly attempting to rob a convenience store around two weeks ago.

Police say 27-year-old Jena Blocker demanded money from the clerk at the US News Store on East Second Street around 9 a.m. on January 5. She left the store empty-handed.

After identifying Blocker as their suspect, investigators arrested her at her home Thursday on a felony warrant for third degree attempted robbery.

She is currently being held in the county jail.
