Bandits part ways with Kilgour

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – After more than a decade at the helm, the Buffalo Bandits announced today Darris Kilgour will not return as the team’s head coach next season.

Kilgour coached the team from 2003-2013, winning the league championship in 2008. However, the team is coming off back-to-back seasons with losing records.

“It’s never easy making this type of decision,” said Bandits director of lacrosse operations Scott Loffler in a press release. “However, we felt that a change at head coach is needed at this time to turn things around.”

Kilgour posted a record of 103-73 with the Bandits. The team will begin searching for a new coach immediately. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
