Bisons cap homestand with walk-off win

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – Not a bad way to polish off an eight-game homestand. The Bisons scored four runs in the bottom of the ninth to come back and beat Columbus today, 7-6.

Buffalo trailed 6-3 going into the 9th inning. After loading the bases, Mike Nickeas delivered an RBI single to cut the lead to two runs. Kevin Pillar followed that up with a sacrifice fly to pull Buffalo within one.

After Ryan Goins struck out swinging, Moises Sierra come through with a walk-off, two-run double off the wall in left field – just out of left fielder Tim Fedroff’s reach – to clinch the victory.

Buffalo begins an eight-game road trip Friday night at Toledo. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
