Jeremiah Bill is a Nov. scholar athlete

HAMBURG, N.Y. (WIVB) – From football to basketball to complex mathematical equations, November’s scholar athlete always brings his A-game.

Jeremiah Bill is a standout athlete at Hamburg High School who also excels in the classroom, taking seven advanced placement courses.

“My goal is to go to a really prestigious school and pursue my major in software engineering,” Bill said.

The teen dreams of someday working as a software engineer for a company like Apple, and has shown a naturally ability in mathematics.

AP Calculus teacher Derek Hill said, “There are certain things he gets that showcase his talent but he always finds a way to take it to another level. Sometimes it seems like if I don’t make the problems hard enough he gets angry at me.”

And he’s also an outstanding athlete.

Football coach Pat Cauley said, “He is the type of student athlete that doesn’t come around very often. Very team-oriented, very driven, very intelligent and very unselfish.”

Bill says he’s driven to reach success.

“My mom has always told me she wants me to be successful and she has worked so hard to be there for me. So I want to make it up to here and my family as well,” Bill said. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
