TONAWANDA, N.Y. (WIVB) – Jordan Kydd, a high school senior from Cardinal O’Hara in Tonawanda, is making his mark on the volleyball court and in the classroom.
In addition to being the captain of the team while holding an almost perfect GPA, Kydd still finds time to volunteer at a food bank. Kydd is also on the bowling team.
“My greatest strength overall is work ethic. I don’t always have the greatest talent but my heart is there,” Kydd said.
He serves as president of the student council, is a member of the National Honor Society, takes part of the Unyts Donate Life Club, and does other volunteer work.
Kydd plans on studying civil engineering in college, but would one day like to return to help his family run their farm.
Volleyball coach Brian Lamping said, “I think Jordan will achieve whatever Jordan wants to achieve. He wants what he wants and he will work hard to make it happen for himself.”
