New law offers testing for Baby Boomers

ALBANY, N.Y. (WIVB) – A new state law will offer better protection for Baby Boomers.

Starting January 1, hospitals and health service providers will be required to offer testing for Hepatitis C to all patients born between 1945 and 1965.

The Centers for Disease Control says patients in that age bracket account for 75 percent of for Hepatitis C infections. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
