Vatican supports St. Ann parishioners

A faithful community has had prayers answered in the crusade to save an historic church in Buffalo.

The Vatican Congregation for the Clergy upheld the appeal of former parishioners at St. Ann on the city’s east side. The group fought to keep the builidng open for religious activities even though the parish has been closed for some time.

The diocese suspended activities there last year because of unsafe conditions. The church needs millions of dollars in repairs. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
