Amherst Police say over the last two days, two convenience stores have been held up by armed robbers.

On Tuesday around 8 p.m., two suspects, both described as white males around 6′ tall and 180 pounds, came into the Gulf Gas Station on Sheridan Drive armed with a handgun and demanded money from the register. After getting the cash, they fled on foot.

Then on Thursday, Amherst Police say a lone gunman, described as a 5’7″ white male around 160 pounds, entered the 7-Eleven on North French Road around 3:30 a.m. and robbed the register. After the theft, he left the store and officers were unable to locate him in the area.

If you have any information on either armed robbery, call detectives at 689-1343.
