Two convenience stores in Amherst robbed

Amherst Police say over the last two days, two convenience stores have been held up by armed robbers.

On Tuesday around 8 p.m., two suspects, both described as white males around 6′ tall and 180 pounds, came into the Gulf Gas Station on Sheridan Drive armed with a handgun and demanded money from the register. After getting the cash, they fled on foot.

Then on Thursday, Amherst Police say a lone gunman, described as a 5’7″ white male around 160 pounds, entered the 7-Eleven on North French Road around 3:30 a.m. and robbed the register. After the theft, he left the store and officers were unable to locate him in the area.
