Reward offered over humane society break-in

A $400 reward is now being offered for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person who broke into the Chautauqua County Humane Society’s Second Chances Thrift Store last December.

The thief stole funds raised by the thrift store that are critical for the animals the humane society aids. Officials say the theft happened at the worst time of year. During the winter, there are many more animals that need to be sheltered from the cold.

A concerned citizen offered the reward.
