Stop leads to arrest of alleged fugitive

WESTFIELD N.Y. (WIVB.COM) – Chautauqua County Deputies stopped a vehicle early Saturday morning for driving erratically and ended up discovering the driver was a fugitive of justice, with an outstanding warrant from Pennsylvania.  Deputies report stopping 22-year-old Chaz T. Clutter, of Westfield, at 2:44 a.m. Saturday.

Clutter was allegedly driving erratically and committing multiple traffic infractions on Main Street. Police say it was discovered that Clutter’s driving privileges were suspended, and he allegedly gave them false personal identifying information. Police say he had an outstanding warrant from Erie County, Pennsylvania.

Westfield Police also discovered the passenger, 22-year-old Zachary P. Kemp, of Brocton, was carrying a small amount of pot.

Clutter was charged with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operator, false personation, failure to maintain lane and fail to signal turn.
