Doctors recommend aortic aneurysm screening

Should you be screened to determine whether you have an aortic aneurysm?

The U.S. Preventive Services Task Force has determined that for men age 65-75 who ever smoked, the screening test – a simple ultrasound exam – is likely to be worthwhile.

It may be worthwhile for women who smoked, but is not regarded as useful in women who were never smokers.
