All eyes will be on Washington D.C. Tuesday night, as President Obama delivers his sixth State of the Union Address.
Analysts say President Obama will announce executive actions on job training, retirement security and help for the long-term unemployed in finding work. But he’s also bringing a warning for his fellow lawmakers: the president is expected to say if Congress won’t work with him, then he will use his executive powers to push his agenda forward.
Erie County Democrats are holding a viewing party for Tuesday night’s address at their Seneca Street headquarters in Buffalo. Attendees are asked to bring a nonperishable food item, or monetary donation to help support the food bank.
Their event starts at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. President Obama will deliver his address at 9 p.m.
