Petition supports lawmakers’ CPS reform

Two New York State lawmakers are launching an online petition to back legislation they are proposing to improve Child Protective Services. Senator Tim Kennedy and Assemblywoman Crystal Peoples- Stokes are introducing the reform after several tragic deaths in Erie County.

Their proposals include new interviewing protocols to increased staff qualifications, and restructured definitions of abuse to deeper and more thorough investigations.

Kennedy and Peoples-Stokes are encouraging Western New Yorkers to sign the petition to show support for CPS reform.
