ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (WIVB) – The Bills added another experienced voice to the coaching staff today, hiring Jim Hostler as a senior offensive assistant.
Hostler spent the last six seasons as the Baltimore Ravens’ wide receivers coach – a position that is currently vacant on the Bills’ staff. The Baltimore Sun reported, Hostler began considering other options after the Ravens passed him over when hiring an offensive coordinator.
In Baltimore, Hostler helped develop WR Torrey Smith, while also rejuvenating Anquan Boldin’s career.
Prior to that stop, he served as the 49ers’ offensive coordinator for one season.
