Firefighters in the Town of Bennington, in Wyoming County, have managed to get a massive, three-alarm house fire under control Wednesday morning. The included photo shows how powerful the flames were at the home.
One man living inside the home made it out safely. There are no hydrants nearby, so crews are using water trucks to deliver water from a nearby town. A portion of Route 354 was closed while crews battled the blaze.
The fire caused $175,000 in damages. The cause is still under investigation.
There were no injuries.
