A woman who was found in her car in a field in Chautauqua County is facing charges of felony DWI.

Deputies were called to Mann Road in the Town of Mina around 7:30 p.m. on Monday where they found 53-year-old Patti Smith of Findley Lake in her car in a field. Smith was allegedly intoxicated and placed under arrest for DWI. A check of her driving record revealed a prior DWI conviction, upgrading the charge to a felony.

She was additionally charged with moving from lane unsafely, having an unregistered motor vehicle, having improper plates, and first degree aggravated unlicensed operation.

Smith was taken to the Chautauqua County Jail.
