Driver whose car was in field charged with DWI

A wide range of entertainers performed on stage during the Festival and it was all piped through speakers along Hertel Avenue.

A woman who was found in her car in a field in Chautauqua County is facing charges of felony DWI.

Deputies were called to Mann Road in the Town of Mina around 7:30 p.m. on Monday where they found 53-year-old Patti Smith of Findley Lake in her car in a field. Smith was allegedly intoxicated and placed under arrest for DWI. A check of her driving record revealed a prior DWI conviction, upgrading the charge to a felony.

She was additionally charged with moving from lane unsafely, having an unregistered motor vehicle, having improper plates, and first degree aggravated unlicensed operation.
