Man guilty of selling counterfeit currency

A Buffalo man will spend a year in prison for selling counterfeit currency and violating his parole.

Sean Castleberry, 35, sold over $1,000 in counterfeit bills to an undercover law enforcement officer in June 2013. Castleberry believed the officer was a drug dealer who was going to use the money to buy drugs.

Castleberry has four prior felony convictions in NYS for drug- and burglary-related crimes.
