Phoenix scored a pair of goals in an 18 second span, but the Buffalo Sabres battled back to pick up a 3-2 win Thursday night.

Tyler Ennis gave the Sabres an early lead on his 12th goal of the season, only to see the Coyotes take the lead on back-to-back scores.

Steve Ott’s power play strike tied the game at two in the second period. Early in the third, Zemgus Girgensons forced a turnover and scored – all in one motion – for the short-handed game-winner.

Ryan Miller made 38 saves to pick up the win. The Sabres are at Colorado Saturday. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
