Ohio woman charged with snowmobiling while intoxicated

(TOWN OF CHAUTAUQUA, NY) Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Deputies investigated a snowmobile crash that occurred a short time before 1 a.m. Saturday morning on Chautauqua Lake in the Town of Chautauqua.

Christina Black, 31, of Burghill, OH was operating a 2006 Ski Doo northbound on the frozen surface of the lake about 200 yards off shore from the Lakeside Park in Mayville.

Black struck an ice fishing shanty narrowly missing 3 male subjects that were ice fishing. The shanty, along with significant amount of other ice fishing equipment was damaged or destroyed.

Nobody was injured as a results of the incident.

Following an interview of Black, she was arrested for Snowmobiling while intoxicated. She was taken to the Sheriff’s Office and processed.

She was charged with SWI, SWI B.A.C. of .08% or greater, and not operating at minimum speed within 100ft of a person or an ice fishing shanty.

Black will answer the charges in the Town of Chautauqua Court.
