Vigil held for man killed by vehicle

Barry Moss vigil

Evans, N.Y. (WIVB) — Family members, friends and neighbors gathered at Evans Town Park Saturday night to prepare for a vigil for a man who was struck and killed by a vehicle in December.

Barry Moss, 52, was found dead in December 2013 along Route 5.

Police have not named any suspects in the incident.  However, Tom Eoannou, attorney, has said that his client owns the vehicle police believe struck Moss.  She’s been identified as Gabriele “Gabe” Ballowe, who with her husband runs the South Shore Beach Club on Old Lakeshore Road.

The vigil taking place Saturday is across the street from the Club.
