Larceny suspects arrested in traffic stop

New York State Police spotted a vehicle in Alden Sunday evening, that matched the description of a vehicle that was carrying suspects from an incident at a 7-Eleven store in the Village of Attica.

The trooper stopped the vehicle on Broadway Road, and issued the female driver tickets for speeding and having a child with no restraint in the back seat. Three men in the vehicle were suspected of stealing merchandise from the store.  Police say the items from the larceny were found in the vehicle.

Police say 30-year-old Marquil Adams, 31-year-old Marcello Wiggins and 20-year-old Shawn Roland were all taken into custody. Adams faced additional charges because there was an order of protection in place to keep him from contacting the driver of the car he was traveling in. His file check also showed two active warrants from Buffalo.

Adams and Wiggins were held on $10,000 bail at Wyoming County Jail. Roland was released on his own recognizance. The driver was ticketed and released at the scene. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
