Robber forces way into gas station kiosk

An armed robber held up a gas station clerk in the Town of Tonawanda, Sunday evening. A man with a knife forced his way into a Tops gas station kiosk and demanded cash from the clerk. Police say the clerk gave him an undetermined amount of cash.

The clerk was not injured during the incident. The suspect fled the scene, at 1740 Sheridan Drive, on foot. He went down Delaware Road.

The suspect is described as a white male, mid twenties, 6’0″ and about 200 pounds. Police say he has a “full” face and a mustache. He was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt with a zipper, a blue/white shirt underneath and black sneakers.

Police say City of Tonawanda Police were involved in a chase in the same area, around the same time. There are not details on whether the incidents are related.
