All is quiet for Miller as deadline nears

If the Sabres are about to trade Ryan Miller, that’s news to him. The Sabres goalie says all is quiet between himself and the team, at the moment.

“We haven’t talked about anything with regards to contracts, and we haven’t talked about anything in regards to trades,” said Miller today.

Miller, who has a limited no-trade agreement, will be a free agent at the end of the season. A report out of Montreal tonight lists Minnesota and Washington as two teams that may be interested in him.

The Olympic trade freeze kicks in this Friday at 3pm. The trade market will re-open after the Winter Games, leading up to the March 5th trade deadline. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
