Police find toddler in home during overdose call

LANCASTER, N.Y. (WIVB)- An emergency call resulted in a police investigation Tuesday morning, in Lancaster. Police say they were called to a home on Hess Place, for a 26-year-old woman who overdosed on drugs.

Police say when they responded, the woman’s one-year-old daughter was inside the residence. They also report finding uncapped hypodermic needles and other drug paraphernalia throughout the house. They say the house was in dangerous and deplorable condition.

The child was removed from the home, which was determined to be uninhabitable by a building inspector. Charge against the 26-year-old are pending.

At the residence, police arrested a 32-year-old man from Buffalo, a 29-year-old man from Franklinville and a 28-year-old woman from Lancaster. They are all charged with endangering the welfare of a child. They were all arraigned in Town of Lancaster Court Tuesday afternoon.

The 32-year-old was found to have an outstanding warrant from Los Angeles County, California for Grand Theft Auto.

The woman who overdosed on drugs is expected to make a full recovery. There are no details on what drug the woman overdosed on.
