Two Aaron’s Rental stores robbed a week apart

Police are looking for information they hope will help them solve two-armed robberies at Aaron’s Rental stores.

One happened January 16 in Tonawanda Street in Buffalo, where police say a man with a gun and an accomplice robbed the register. The other was about a week later at the West Ferry Street location. In that incident, investigators say the robber used a knife.

Police say they do not know at this time if the robberies are connected. In the second incident, the suspect appeared to be aware of security procedures at the store, as well as the location of cameras, the safe, and a rear exit alarm system.
