Driver avoids prison after deadly crash

A driver who was behind the wheel of a deadly crash has avoided prison. A judge sentenced Frederick Lederhouse to five years probation on Wednesday.

He pleaded guilty to criminally negligent homicide in last year’s crash that killed Ronald Zauner and Cathy World.

Lederhouse suffers from Parkinson’s Disease and his attorneys say he may have suffered a mini-stroke before the crash. Even prosecutors recommended probation for him.
