Canisius stole the National Signing Day show once again this year, sending four football players and one soccer star to Division I programs, led by Pitt signee Qadree Ollison.
Ollison, who announced his verbal commitment months ago, said it was tough whittling his lengthy list of offers down to just one, but he felt at home at Pittsburgh.
“They’re building something special, we’re building something special,” said Ollison.
Joining him at the Canisius table today were Augie Touris (UTEP), Ryan Richards (Robert Morris), and Mike Sharpe (Furman). Jake Montante will play soccer at Canisius College.
Elsewhere in Western New York, St. Joe’s senior Tyler Hill made his commitment to Cincinnati. Depew’s Mike Lamb will join Richards at Robert Morris. Alden’s Phil Zobrest signed to play college ball at Holy Cross.
Two notable Division II signings include Jamestown’s Jake Sisson (Edinboro) and Alden’s Dylan Dussault (Walsh).
