New York State Police are launching a new initiative to gather information from the public. “Warrant Wednesday” begins this week, on their Facebook and Twitter pages.

Each Wednesday, police will add wanted posters to a photo album on their Facebook page. The posters will include a photo and details about the person they are trying to locate. The posters will also include contact numbers for people to call, if they have information to share with police.

Police say previous Facebook postings have led to the arrests of several suspects. Postings will also be shared on their Twitter page.
