Canisius falls into 2nd in MAAC

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – Tonight’s Canisius loss to Manhattan, paired with Iona’s narrow win at Niagara, drops the Griffs out of first place in the MAAC.

The Gaels now lead by one game at 11-2, after a 90-89 win over NU tonight.

Canisius dropped an 84-73 decision to Manhattan. The Griffs will host Iona in a big showdown Sunday afternoon at 2pm, while Manhattan heads up to Niagara.

David Laury scored 28 for Iona tonight to lead all scorers. Ramone Snowden paced Niagara with 18.
