Man allegedly impersonated state trooper

A Cattaraugus County man was arrested Friday after he allegedly impersonated a state trooper.

Police began investigating after they say Richard Williams of Hinsdale call a woman’s employer in the City of Jamestown in an attempt to get her fired. The 37-year-old allegedly claimed to be a state trooper several times.

Williams was arrested Friday and charged with first degree criminal impersonation and second degree aggravated harassment.
