BUFFALO, N.Y.(WIVB)- A grand jury has now indicted a man from West Seneca on charges of drunk driving. This follows a crash that killed a sheriff’s deputy, who was also a well-known politician.

Robert Styn was set for arraignment Monday morning. Prosecutors say he was drunk when his truck collided with another vehicle on Indian Church Road back in December.

The other driver, Dan McParlane, was killed. He served as the town’s Democratic party and an Erie County Sheriff’s Deputy. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
