Popular BBQ restaurant to open in Buffalo

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB)- Barbeque fans have been buzzing for a long time about Dinosaur Bar-B-Que opening in the Queen City.

Winging It! Buffalo Style’s Lauren Hall caught up with the restaurant’s founder, as his staff of 120 people were getting ready for opening day. The restaurant has locations across New York State.

It tried to expand to Buffalo for years before finally settling on a location on Franklin Street.

Founder John Stage said, “I fell in love with this building. It’s an old universal pictures warehouse. They used to store all the film for Hollywood for many years. I just loved the feel of the building. I like being in the theater district, I like being close to downtown. That’s our thing. We like being in the urban core.”

You can sink your teeth into some Dinosaur Bar-B-Que this week.  It opens Wednesday.
