Students raised $8,400 for flood victims

Just weeks after parts of West Seneca were damaged by flood waters, some local students are helping out in a big way.

During Monday night’s town board meeting, members of the West Seneca Youth Theatre presented a check for $8,400 to assist flood victims in their community.

Theatre representative Kathleen Kogut said, “When can children get to do something that makes a difference and be able to help? They were so wanting to do this.”

The students raised the money during a fundraising event last weekend.
