Driver faces several charges after crash

A driver involved in a Saturday evening crash was found to have an outstanding warrant, according to the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office. Christopher Marek, 21, is facing charges after the two-car accident in East Otto.

The sheriff’s office says Marek was driving a vehicle that rear ended another car at the intersection of East Otto Springville and Hammond Hill Roads.

His license was checked and the sheriff’s office says his license has various suspensions and an outstanding warrant. Marek is charged with aggravated unlicensed operation, following too closely, uninspected motor vehicle and unlicensed operator.

He was taken to the Town of Otto for arraignment where the bail was set at $5,000. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
