Kane: “I’ve grown a lot” since 2010 Games

SOCHI – South Buffalo native Patrick Kane seems to appreciate this trip to the Olympics more than his previous experience four years ago.

“2010 I was kind of young and naive to know what was really going on,” said Kane. “Looking back at that game – I actually just watched it for the first time this year, that gold medal game, just to kind of re-live the situation and see how important it was to the game of hockey.”

“I feel I’ve grown a lot and matured a lot,” said Kane.

Kane – still only 25 years old – is suddenly one of the experience veterans on this roster for Team USA. The Olympic opener is set for Thursday against Slovakia.
