Tim Russert exhibit to open in fall

BUFFALO, N.Y.(WIVB)- Personal memorabilia from the late Tim Russert will be coming home to Buffalo, to be put on display. The exhibit is currently at the Newseum in Washington D.C.

The exhibit honors the late NBC newsman for his 17-year tenure as moderator of Meet the Press. Russert died suddenly back in 2008.

The Buffalo History Museum will spend much of the summer bringing it back to the place Tim Russert was proud to call home.

“A lot of South Buffalo memorabilia, letters from kids from Holy Family School, a lot of references to the Buffalo Bills.” Congressman Brian Higgins said, “It’s very familiar to me. First thing, the office is a mess.”

The Tim Russert exhibit should be open this coming fall.
