Woman dies in Jamestown fire

A woman died Wednesday morning during a fire at a four-apartment residence on Stowe Street in Jamestown.

Police say the fire department arrived around 7 a.m. and firefighters quickly extinguished the blaze, caused by unattended cooking. Toni M. Brosius, 25, was found inside the building and police say she did not survive.

Brosius succumbed to acute smoke inhalation.
