MEDINA, N.Y. (WIVB)- Orleans County officials say a year-long investigation led them to drugs, cash, pirated movies and a weapon. Several agencies executed search warrants at addresses in the Villages of Medina and Albion on Wednesday. Three arrests were made.
Officials say they seized more than three ounces of cocaine, two pounds of marijuana, heroin, ecstasy pills, prescription narcotics, “bath salts,” $3,000 in cash, a semi-automatic rifle, scales, packaging and other drug paraphernalia.
While searching the “Biz Nest,” in Medina, officials report finding more than 1,000 pirated DVD movies which were being sold from the store, as well as items of counterfeit clothing and merchandise.
Police arrested 28-year-old Brenton O. Poole, of Medina. He was charged with four counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and second-degree criminal possession of marijuana.
Also arrested was 34-year-old Erika H. Poole, of Medina, who was arrested for four counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and second-degree criminal possession of marijuana.
The third arrested was 26-year-old Norman M. Bloom Jr. He was charged with second-degree reckless endangerment, second-degree obstruction of governmental administration and resisting arrest.
Police say the investigation continues and further charges and arrests are pending.
