Relative charged with stealing items from home

LOCKPORT, N.Y. (WIVB) – A Buffalo man has been arrested on charges of stealing items from a relative’s home in Lockport and selling them in the city.

State Police were called to a home in Lockport Sunday where the victim told troopers that money, video games, jewelry and a cell phone had been stolen, and a relative may have been involved in the theft.

Investigation led police to 40-year-old Steven Mouery, who officers say stole the items and sold them in Buffalo. All together, the items were valued at more than $1,000.

Mouery was arrested Thursday and charged with fourth degree grand larceny. He was taken to the Niagara County Jail on $1,000 bail. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
