Teen admits throwing needle out of car

LANCASTER, N.Y.(WIVB)- Lancaster Police say a 19-year-old woman admitted to throwing a hypodermic needle out of a vehicle during a traffic stop. Police say they stopped a vehicle on Pavement Road after spotting it drive around a lowered railroad crossing gate.

While speaking to the driver and his passengers, police spotted the needle in the snow. Police say a female passenger admitted to throwing it out of the vehicle, and also admitted they were headed into Buffalo to buy heroin. She was taken into custody and charged.

The 16-year-old driver was operating the vehicle without a licensed driver over the age of 21. He was issued traffic tickets.
