Four charged over theft of guns, electronics

Four people have been arrested in connection to three burglaries and several larceny complaints in Wellsville.

The following people are facing charges:

  • A 15-year-old Wellsville male – arrested on three counts of third degree burglary, petit larceny and three counts of fourth degree grand larceny – two for the theft of two long guns and one for the theft of property worth more than $1,000.
  • 21-year-old Brendan Loucks of Wellsville – arrested on one count of criminal possession of stolen property for having a stolen gun. Placed on pre-trial release and is due back in court at a later date.
  • 27-year-old Jeffrey Rositzke of Wellsville – arrested on one count of fourth degree criminal possession of stolen property for having a stolen gun. Placed on pre-trial release and is due back in court at a later date.
  • 27-year-old David Hall of Wellsville – arrested on one county of fourth degree criminal possession of stolen property for having stolen guns. Taken to the Allegany County Jail on $1,000 bail.

Police say in addition to recovering a number of firearms, they also found several computers and other electronic equipment.

Investigators say they do not anticipate further arrests in this case.
