UB unveils master plan for athletics facilities

I was one of many people in the room remembering Katie Johnson Hoffman -- who co-chaired this event along with Gretchen Geitter. Sadly, Katie died of cancer in August. She had been presented with the Katherine Anne Gioia Inspiration Award just days before her death in Roswell.

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – The University at Buffalo has unveiled its long-term vision for growth in its Department of Athletics.

The master plan addresses near and long-term goals for the facilities’ infrastructure.

In a press release, Athletic Director Danny White said, “These are exciting times to be involved with UB Athletics. We expect this visual plan to increase excitement with the donor base and we will work as aggressively as possible to secure the necessary commitments to move forward with the high priority projects such as the field house.”
